Mathison has played Drew Cain on the soap since 2021.
Many of them were affected by the fires, too.
Mathison said he plans to rebuild his home that burned down.

“I am fluctuating.
There’s lots to learn from this, and lots to be grateful for.
And also, thinking about thousands of others going through the same thing.
But it has been more devastating than I actually thought it would be.”
Mathison and his wife Vanessa, from whomhe split in July, share adult children Lucas and Leila.
“It’s been a hard thing to express to people.
“It’s going to be OK for sure.
I got this,” he said at one point.
“But I’m also allowing myself to feel that.”
More than80,000 people were displaced, according to PEOPLE.
