Christina Ricci’s been dealing with the downside of fame for decades.
And the paparazzi freaked out the young star.

When she knew someone was following her, Ricci knew better than to go home.
“I found there was a liquor store on the corner.

“He’s the only person I would ever let call me Chris.
TheYellowjacketsstar said that, being just more than five-feet tall, she felt threatened when strangers approached her.
“I never really felt famous.

I still forget a lot, and I was never really comfortable with it,” she said.
“So for me, it didn’t feel like power.
It sort of felt like something I had to navigate.”

At least for a while, she came up with a way of coping.
And that everybody just really wished me well, and it worked,” she explained.
Ricci noted one especially scary situation.
So we would just like turn off all the lights and wait until he left.”
