Former PresidentDonald Trumphas actorDennis Quaid’s support in this year’s election.
“As president, the only thing I liked about Trump was everything he did,” Quaid said.
The actor specifically cited Trump’s handling of the pandemic back in an April 2020 conversation with theDaily Beast.

He said then that he was an independent.
“It just makes sense.

But it took me a while, I guess because I idolized him a bit.
And I didn’t want to bring that into it.”
In fact, Quaid said Reagan is his favorite president.
Quaid said the filmmakers ended up telling the story “warts and all, in a certain sense.”
“It was an honor to play him.”
