The native Israeli has defended the country in the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

But some attendees weren’t there to cheer her on.

Gadot’s ceremony attracted protestors from both sides of the conflict.

Slurs and insults were hurled and there was “physical contact,“according to the local KTLA.

Officer Norma Eisenman, of the Los Angeles Police Department, told EW that there were no arrests.

The department did not have a statement.

As far as he was concerned, “There’s no reason we should be celebrating an Israeli.”

Israel reports that1,200 people diedand more than 250 were taken hostage in an attack by Hamas.

“We don’t start war, we don’t want war at all.”

He appeared to be distracted, perhaps by the shouts or maybe by audio issues, during his speech.

He managed to sum up his feelings with, “I just love her so much!”

Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer, acknowledged toEntertainment Weekly.

“We had a glitch with sound for a point.

There was some chanting but not too bad.

Police were there as they always are for our star ceremonies but they didn’t engage.

It was a beautiful day for our honoree and her family.”
