And it was at first, and then it just morphed.

The group became increasingly insular, and encouraged Lenz to distrust anyone outside of it.

Lenz explained why the group appealed to her at the time.

“We crave that kind of intimacy,” she said.

Lenzfirst discussed her time in the groupon her podcast last year.

“I was in a cult for 10 years,” Lenz said last July.
