“So I turn around, he’s like, ‘Sorry, kid.’
Then we’re doing another part of the scene where Im standing on the edge of the lake.
I look out, doing my acting.
And he shoves me towards the water, and I catch myself.
I turn and he’s like, ‘Oh, sorry, kid.’
So I have ruled out in my mind that this is jealousy.
I think we are friends.”
Colbert compared it to a situation where the kid punches their crush on the playground.
“Our relationship in real life mirrors our relationship on the show,” Segel said.
“I desperately want his approval, and he wants to humiliate me.”
