Acosta, 53, indicated that he decided to depart from the online grid due to a schedule reshuffling.
His exit comes in the wake of the networkannouncing about 200layoffs in an attempted pivot toward digital platforms.

Acosta emphasized the importance of a free press as he made his final remarks.
He also implored viewers to fight against misinformation and pessimism.
