But when the diner door opened, the finale just … ended.

The screen went black.

“I don’t know.

I could believe that.”

“No, I never did,” she said.

“And that’s a really good question.

I’m going to call him right now.”

Their final scene features Dr. Melfi literally closing the door on Tony.

“I was also not very happy the way David ended it,” she added.

“I thought it was bad and wrong.

I told him, ‘How do you invest five years into someone’s life and just walk away?’

I said, ‘That is not cool.’

And you know, that was it.”
