Reflecting on the incident now, Liu stands by her decision to speak out.
“I would have done that in any situation.
I think when I sense something is not right, I am going to protect myself.

Its an innate thing to do if you feel theres injustice, and I always feel that way.
Liu added that she is not the sort of person who can keep quiet or simply let things slide.
“If I was, it would have been a much easier road,” she admitted.

“But because Ive never been that person, we had to find a way.”

Liu then stood up for herself when the actor began to hurl insults in her direction.
“And I would not stand down, and nor should I have.”

She literally said, ‘I do not accept that kind of behavior from you.’
And we all supported her and backed her up, and we moved forward.”
