He was 88 years old.

A representative for Walsh confirmed toEntertainment Weeklythat he died Tuesday in Vermont as a result of cardiac arrest.
His body of work includes 119 feature films and over 250 television production credits.
After graduating in 1961, he began pursuing work on the stage and in local summer stock.

He is survived by his niece, nephew, and two grandnephews.
