So why didn’t he?
“I got kids,” Culkin said simply, referencing the two sons he shares with actressBrenda Song.
“I’m busy, man.”
Along withlaunching Culkin into stardom, it spawned five sequels, the latest being 2021’sHome Sweet Home Alone.
The event includes a screening of the film followed by a Q&A with Culkin.
But in recent years he’s seen his relationship to the films change, largely because of fatherhood.
“I look at the movie differently now because of that,” he said.
“I watch it through a different lens I watch it with them.
And they have no idea who they’re sitting next to.”
“He thinks he’s Kevin,” Culkin told toldE!
“I’m like, ‘Do you remember going down the stairs on the sled?’
He’s like, ‘Mmhmm, yep.
I’m like, ‘Do you remember when he had yellow hair?’
And he’s like, ‘Uh-huh, yep.'”
“‘You’re a lying liar who lies,'” he recalled joking with his son.
“‘That was me!'”
Fans of the films still make pilgrimages to it to snap photos and leave mementos.
