But it’s rare that the fan in question isCher.
The Golden Globe-winningHoldoversstar confirmed his odd dynamic with the “Believe” singer.
“And I’m like, ‘What the f—?
Why does Cher want to talk to me?’
Nobody will tell me, and then I never hear anything.
And then a year will go by and it happens again.”

After years of back-and-forth, Giamatti said he finally heard from Cher.
Her message, however, was puzzling.
“That was it.
That was all she said.
And that’s the last I heard, I haven’t heard anything again.”
Giamatti hasnt a clue what Cher might want to discuss with him.
I mean, it would be great!
I’d love to talk to her about anything.
I don’t care, it’d be fantastic."
