She drew from her own solutions to the challenge to craft a narrative for Steven.

“The imagination likes to bloom in dark corners.

If you shine a flashlight on it constantly it dries up.

That’s true in the film as well.”

“But asking him to write an original song seemed beyond the pale,” she adds.

“They watched it, and they loved it!”
