Eric Gilliland, a TV writer and producer known for his work onRoseanne, has died.
Gilliland died on Sunday, Sep. 1, his sister Lisa confirmed toVariety.
A representative for Gilliland did not immediately respond toEntertainment Weeklys request for comment.

In his own tribute post,ScandalactorDan Bucaitinksy wrote, There are no words.
For a man who was so good with his… brilliant.
His legacy is the wake of love he generated from so many friends.
Michael Fishman, who starred as D.J.
onRoseanne, alsopenned a tributeon Instagram.
“Heaven got another great writer,” he wrote.
“They always take the best.
I know they’re laughing hard.
Endless dry wit and an encyclopedia of knowledge, Eric Gilliland is unforgettable.”
Born March 28, 1962 in Illinois, Gilliland was a graduate of Northwestern University.
It was briefly rebooted in 2018, before spinning off intoThe Conners.
He later served as a consulting producer for the first two episodes of the spin-off.
