It’s a different throw in of battle… a battle of wills!
But before I publicly humiliate them, its only fair I humiliate myself first.
So here it goes.

Just one problem: There were monkeys.
Lots and lots of monkeys.
Now, I had a few options here.

I could have swung this a bit more aggressively to force the monkey back.
That certainly would have been easiest and allowed me to maintain at least a modicum of composure.
I did not choose this option.

Anther course of action would have been to simply… well, run.
After all, this was an away game for me.
Also, he had four legs, I only had two.
I did not choose that option either.
Instead, instinct took over.
Now, I am not proud of what happened next.
Somehow and I have no idea how we are still married.
Even though I have not been able to look her in the eye ever since.
Clearly, there is no place for me on the strong persons alliance ofSurvivor 48.

The strong get stronger
Poor Mitch and Star.
Which is exactly why I found myself rooting for these two crazy kids in the challenge.
And then came the sand pit.
Also, now with even lessProbstcommentary!
What I would have done for aJonathan Pennerpop-in guest star spot at that very moment.
Worth the subscription… just sayin.
But heres an interesting little nugget to chew on.
Only Shauhin has yet to win.
Thats interesting, because the biggest and strongest do not necessarily dominate when it comes to individual immunities.
I dont think anyone would mistakeRachel LaMontfor Ms. Olympia, yet she was lethal.
Same withChrissy Hofbeck, or going back toJenna Morasca.
The obsession with big athletic types running the table has always felt overblown to me.
Will this season, however, be one of those exceptions to the rule?
Will big bulky athletes pull aBrad Culpepperand keep passing safety back and forth amongst themselves?
And will Shauhin ever get his?

I like it when everyone has a vote at Tribal Council.
I think the Shot in the Dark is a brilliant addition to the show.
I openly campaigned for years and years about hiding idols at challenges until they finally did it.
Hell,Im the guy who defends Fire Tokens!!
Put that aside for a moment.
Kamilla and Mitch made a choice to work together and target Star.
Did Star buy it?
We never found out, but I certainly wouldnt have.
But what the hell do I know?
I miss a single snack size serving of sour cream and onion Pringles and Im grumpy.
Whos to say what I would do in that situation.
And whether Eva actually keeps the news to herself.
For her part, Kamilla was not impressed with Davids gameplay.
David is just so stupid.
He should not have signed up forSurvivor.
But if you could, that would be totally awesome.
(Sign me up for curling!)
That was just a psych-out.
And thank goodness for that.
I was not ready to see myepisode 1 pick to win it allgo down in flames so soon.
But youre probably ready for this recap to be over!
