We may not have seen it, but he has seen it… in his mind.
Jeff Probstis a man on a mission when calling aSurvivorchallenge.
The host and showrunner makes it look so easy, even if the act is anything but.

And I asked Zach, I go, What is that?
That’s not part of the challenge.
I use it, says Probst.

he needs to be able to get out there.'…
They didn’t have to do that.
I never would’ve even thought about it, but now, I can’t live without it.
Watching the host run back and forth on that deck got formerSurvivorcontestant and currentOn FirecohostCharlie Daviswondering.
I have a question on that, he asks.
So I’ve seen the walkway, it’s not that wide.
Do you ever worry about falling off into the ocean because you are running up and down?
But you’re also looking not at where your feet are, you’re looking at us.
So have you ever fallen off?
But it’s really interesting you ask that, because here’s what happens.
Every single challenge I rehearse in my mind: What will happen if I fall in?
Because I’m aware it could happen, because you’re right, I’m focused on you all.
It seems the host prepares for every scenario.
Because we’re going to include it.
There’s no way to not show it.
So just be calm, look cool in the water and get back to business.
Hes 1,000,000 percent right.
There is absolutely no way to not show Probst falling in the water.
Were glad the host and showrunner recognizes that, even if he does sound a littletooprepared for the possibility.
I’m not patting myself on the back with that, he says.
I’m just saying, that is how I approachSurvivor.
I’m constantly asking myself: What if this happens, or what if that happens?
Or what if all the boats capsize?
What if we can’t finish the challenge?
And every so often they happen, and then you’re at least a little prepared for it.
Prepare yourself for much more Probst by listening to the latest episode ofOn Fire.
