Professional wrestling legend and WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk has died at age 79.
Funk’s career spanned more than 50 years and he was hugely influential in the development of hardcore wrestling.
Their “death match” that year popularized the style of harcore wrestling around the world.

“We just lost a legend.
Terry Funk is gone,” Foleywrote on social media.
“He was my mentor, my idol, and one of my closest friends.
He was the greatest wrestler I ever saw.”
“There will never be another like him,” Foley continued.
“May God bless Terry, his friends, family and all who loved him.
RIP my dear friend it was an honor to know you.”
He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2009.
