Can you speak to the process of how they found the right Mary in Noa?
CARUSO:When we started on this project, I immediately initiated a search for Mary.
We auditioned around 75 young women, and somewhere in the middle of that process, Noa stood out.

From the moment we witnessed her first cold audition, we knew she was the one.
Her ability to convey both vulnerability and strength was exactly what we needed for this role.
What role does Joseph play in Marys life?

And whats his relationship with their newborn son?
His first encounter with Jesus after the birth is one of the most touching scenes in the film.

Were you intimidated at all to direct him?
Working with Sir Anthony was an extraordinary experience.
His presence on set elevated everyone around him.
His ability to effortlessly embody a character while still being open and collaborative made the entire process smoother.
Watching him work was like witnessing a masterclass in acting, and his dedication truly inspired the whole cast.
The film is described as a coming-of-age tale, and there arent many stories about women from this era.
What made you want to tell Marys story at this particular time of her life?
While she had fears and doubts, her courage and faith drove her to embrace her divine purpose.
This film shines a light on that journey.
We made the overall movie experience thrilling and engaging.
All of this was done with great care, preserving the reverence that is bestowed upon Mary.
It is exciting and emotional.
