“It’s one of those Easter eggs that we give a shot to plant for the audience.”

So, it holds a special place in their hearts too.

There’s also a practical reason for recreating the shot any other angle spoils the historical location.

“So, every director comes and goes, ‘Oh, I’d like to do this.’

And we’re like, ‘Yeah, that’stheshot.

You got it.’

Because there’s modern things on the other side.”

“We always love to suggest the essence of something.

But this location and this driveway really dictate this shot.

There’s modern-ness on both sides once you get up into that open area.

Now, they’re making good on that promise.

“Ian and Claire and Jamie have come home,” Roberts notes.

“They’ve brought Jamie’s cousin’s body back home.

We packed the house.

It’s this big homecoming, and there might be some other special guests too.”

Might that include Jamie’s sister, Jenny, the matriarch of Lallybroch and Ian’s mother?

Theteaser also showcasesplenty of Revolutionary War action, so does that mean their visit home will be brief?

“There’s different timings for different people,” notes Roberts.

“We had to make it safe so we could have people walking in and outside of the door.

Now, there’s multiple buses and fans walking up that drive and taking pictures on the steps.

“And if you want to give Lallybroch a body part, it’s the heart.”
