Two of the most important are Shoko Nagata (Miki Maya) and Naoki Hayama (Yosuke Kubozuka).

And then over the course of season 2, you begin to see what happens when it stops working.
It also helped that COVID-19 safety protocols had lightened up since season 1 was filmed a couple years ago.
The city literally opened up to us in terms of shooting, Poul says.

We were able to make much more headway with the police than before.
Tokyo Viceseason 2 is set to premiere on Max in February 2024.
