Ty Pennington is doing great despite undergoing some personal refurbishment.

He shared further details of the events leading up to the surgery withET.
And [the doctor] goes, ‘What if it’s more than that?
What if you close up and can’t breathe?’
I’m like, ‘Oh my God.’
He’s like, ‘I think we need to fly you to Denver.’
And I wake up and I have a tube in my throat."
Pennington is now back in full swing, hostingRock the Block, which premieres March 5 on HGTV.
And that return to form is intentional after his experience.
