Nina DobrevandShaun Whiteare taking their relationship to the next level after five years of dating.
“He made the invite look so legitimate,” Dobrev said with a laugh.

“I went into shock,” Dobrev recalled.
“I just froze and stared at him.”
When she eventually moved to meet him in the middle, White immediately clocked her nerves.

“When she’s nervous she’ll make jokes,” he said.
“She’s like, ‘So, wait, Anna’s not here?'”
By that point, Dobrev had essentially blacked out though she does remember White nailing his proposal speech.
“He said all the right things,” the actress recalled.
Last year, White hinted at the possibility of a future engagement whilechatting with PEOPLE.
“We’re just enjoying our time together right now.
No pressure,” he told the outlet in May.
And let’s just have fun and be together and support each other.'"
