“I knew when I met her she was something special.”

“But do you recognize the girl in the middle?

“Have you ever reconnected around that beautiful commercial you put together?”

But sadly that was a joke.

Rannells then dove into an amusing anecdote about an encounter with his former commercial costar at aGolden Globesceremony.

“The one time I was asked to the Golden Globes, she was there.

And you know it’s, like, the Hunger Games of celebrities,” recalled Rannells.

“It’s like, everyone is there.

He continued, “And I was like, ‘Amy, it’s me!

We did a commercial together in Omaha in 1996!’

I just started shouting at her.”

The two were able to connect.

“She was very nice,” said Rannells.

“And then, weirdly, I saw her many times after that.

She was always very sweet.

And you know what?

I’m going to say it: I knew when I met her she was something special.”

Both stars have come a long way since that humble little bank commercial.
