Whoopi Goldberg’s holymission to the Vaticanmay have rounded out the cast for her long-gestatingSister Act 3movie.
The 68-year-old star hasteasedtheTyler Perryproduced Disney+ projectfor years, tossing around casting ideas to everyone fromSheryl Lee Ralphto herViewcohosts.
“I wanted to thank him,” Goldberg toldJimmy Fallonon Wednesday’sTonight Showepisode.

“I’ve been trying to meet up with him for about 10 years.
She continued, “This is supposed to be the guy that you talk to.
You’re the Pope.
You say, ‘We welcome everybody.
We want everybody at our party.
We’re not going to judge you.
Only God judges you.'”
He said he’d see what his time was like.”
Entertainment Weeklyhas reached out to representatives for Pope Francis for comment.
Though she referred to the project as “silly,” Pope Francis stopped her.
