It brought in $227.9 million domestically and more than $629 million internationally, according toBox Office Mojo.
DirectorPeter Bergexplained back in January 2012, in an interview withComicBookMovie.com, thata sequel likely would happen.

“It’s just a question of timing,” theFriday Night Lightsdirector said.
