Burning Man 2024 is beginning on a somber note.
The festivals emergency services personnel responded to a report of an unresponsive individual on Sunday at approximately 11:29 a.m.

Though life-saving measures were immediately attempted, they were unsuccessful.
The woman has since been identified as 39-year-old Kendra Frazer.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kendras family and friends, Sheriff Jerry Allen said in a statement.
The safety and well-being of our staff and community are paramount, the statement continued.
We are cooperating fully with local authorities as they investigate this incident.
This years festival is set to run through Sept. 2.
